* Sri Sumangala Maha Vidyalaya, Panadura sent Dharmaraja College, Kandy, on a leather hunt when they knocked up a massive 405 all out in their Coca Bottlers trophy cricket tournament match which ended in a tame draw in Kandy. Sri Sumangala who commenced their innings mid way in the final session of the first day occupied the crease the whole of the second day and frustrated the Rajans by facing a massive 128 overs.

Openers A. Suddharashana 31 and Suresh Silva 73 (2 sixers, 6 fours) put on 102 for the first wicket. Later, Vishara Silva 115 not out (14 fours) sailed into the attack to upset the Rajans. Earlier run-getting prodigy Pubudu Seneviratne knocked up an entertaining knock of 122 which included 5 sixes and 10 fours complied in 167 balls. He was associated in a fifth wicket stand of 137 with Waruna Hearth 62 (8 fours). Chief scores: Dharmaraja 267 for 6 decl; Sri Sumangala MV 405 all out.

The Sri Lanka Lions Club of Sydney the premier Sri Lanka cricket club in Australia will arrive in Colombo on January 19 (Monday) for a three week long tour.

This will be the second time that they will be touring Sri Lanka in two years and will play matches in Kurunegala, Kandy, Badulla, Buttala, Tissamaharama, Matara and Colombo.

They will play their first game against St.Anne's College on January 23 at the Welagedera Stadium Kurunegala. In addition they will play the Combined Horana team on February 6 and there are few other matches to be confirmed.

Former Royal and Peradeniya Campus opener Prasanna Kariyawasam will lead the side and the rest of the members are Bandula de Silva, Chandana Dissanayake, Nandana Dissanayake, Ajith Dandeniya, Ananda Jayaratne, Trevor Bartholamuez, Shantha Gunasekera, Hasantha Subasinghe, Suresh Liyanage, Rukshan Carim, Ranil Peiris, Mark Lang, Ashiq Lalani, Ronak Kumarage, Jayantha Weerasinghe, Gihan Mendis and Lucky Weraduwage.
