It has been reported in a section of the Press under the heading "Hanif declines to inspect Sahara Cup wickets" and it is reported that former Captain Hanif Mohammad was approached by a Selector on behalf of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to visit Toronto. Canada to inspect and submit a report on the wickets on which the forthcoming Sahara Cup matches would be played and the Selection Committee wanted to enquire about the strips before finalizing the 14 man squad Pakistan Cricket Board denies having asked Mr. Hanif Mohammad directly or through any Selector to visit Toronto for the said purpose.
