TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO captain Brian Lara and the other local players on
the West Indies team to Pakistan head back to Jamaica this morning,
determined to complete a mission they started two weeks ago.
Lara, vice-captain Phil Simmons and wicketkeeper David Williams returned
home on Sunday to prepare for the Pakistan trip. Mervyn Dillon and Ian
Bishop returned yesterday.
The West Indies leave for Pakistan following the conclusion of the Bowl
and the WI Board allowed the players involved to travel home to complete
their packing.
Lara and company, once reunited with their teammates, will travel down
to Ocho Rios where they will be encamped for tomorrow's semifinal
against the Guyanese at the Kaiser ground in Discovery Bay.
