RAWALPINDI, Oct 8: The cricket academy project at Lahore has been put off for the time being, well informed sources said.
The academy was being established on the same pattern as that of Australian Cricket Academy (ACA) or institutions in South Africa, New Zealand and the MRF school in India.
The logistics and cost of the setting up of the multi-million project are said to be the main reason for postponing the idea. Meanwhile, another scheme which was to be launched with the aim of extending financial support to stalwarts of yester years, has also been dropped.
