* Sri Lanka captain Arjuna Ranatunga predicted their forthcoming three-Test tour of India to be a challenging one. ``It will be a tough tour as India has a formidable side with a strong batting line-up'', Ranatunga said as his team packed up baggages to leave Lahore after the four-nation Jinnah Cup tournament where they lost to South Africa in the final.

Ranatunga said the young Indian team has made a good progress and they would be gunning to frustrate his bowlers to take revenge for Sri Lanka's World record Test total of 951 earlier in the year. Sri Lanka team will fly to India to play a series of three Tests, three one day internationals and three side games. The Indian Cricket Board has picked Mohali, Nagpur and Mumbai as Test venues for their three-match home series against Sri Lanka starting early next month.

Sri Lanka will open their tour of India with a one day limited over benefit match for Anshuman Gaekwad in Baroda on Tuesday. The Lankans will play their only three-day warm up game from November 14 to 16 against India Board President's X1 before moving on to the first Test against India starting on November 19 in Mohali.
