Joes-Isipatana clash in Coca Cola Cup final

The League runners up St.Joseph's College will meet giant killers Isipatana MV in the Coca Cola Cup inter school limited over cricket tournament final at the SSC grounds, Maitland Place on Sunday.
The Josephians have certainly lived upto expectations as a formidable side and will be hoping to conclude the season on a triumphant note. They have a superb all round side and also proved their capabilities by pulling off an exciting three-run win over their traditional rivals St. Peter's College in the semi-finals.
In contrast Isipatana scored a convincing six wicket victory over League champions St. Sebastian's College, Moratuwa during their semi- final fixture. They have a fine penetrative bowling attack spearheaded by skipper Suresh Perera. They did prove this to a great extent by restricting the Sebastianites to 139 for 9 in 50 overs.
However St. Joseph's will be hoping for an improved batting performance from their top order. Skipper Trevin Mathews, Mark Fernando, Monto Perera and Charinda Fernando are all experienced players capable of making a big score.
The Managing Director of Pure Beverages Company Limited Ana Punchihewa will be the chief guest while the General Manager of Pure Beverages Company Limited Geoff Thorpe will be the guest of honour.
