The tournament is being hosted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Indian Independence.
``We've been given tentative dates, for the last three weeks in May, and we've been told it will be a limited overs tournament,'' Doig said. ``We know nothing more than that, not even the identity of the other participating nations. But as far as I am concerned, it is certain we will go, we've already told India we will participate.''
The Indian cricket season normally ends in April, as the weather in May-June is generally too hot for top international sides. The tournament, thus, is expected to feature a series of daynight games.
