17 November 1996

LONDON, Nov 16 - Demand for tickets for England's international matches against Australia next summer is booming with sales topping two million pounds in the first two weeks of their release.

England's one-day international against Australia at The Oval was a sell-out within four days and there are only a few seats left on Fridays and Saturdays for the Test matches at Edgbaston, Trent Bridge and The Oval.

Ticket applications at Lord's are expected to be over-subscribed while Headingley and Old Trafford the other venues for Tests in the Ashes series put their tickets on sale from Monday, November 25.
