South Africa To Hold Annual One-Day Tourney Every Year

South African will hold its first ever one day international
tournament next month. The United Cricket Board of South Africa
said in Johannesburg that the three-nation World Series cricket
tournament will be an annual affair from 1997.
The UCBSA spokesman said in Johannesburg that India and Zimbabwe
will join the host team in the first three-nation one day international tournament to be played from January 23 in South Africa
next year. World champions Sri Lanka and Australia are the probable invitees for the 1998 tournament. The tournament will be
worked off on a league basis with the top two teams clashing in
the final.
