Rhodes (1) came and went after playing just three balls. Boeta Dippenaar (1) also came and went after playing another three balls. With Mark Boucher (10) too failing to make a significant contribution, the situation began to turn increasingly grim for South Africa. The Indian off-spinners Harbhajan Singh and Virender Sehwag were punching big holes in Kallis’ statement that the South Africans had learnt to play spin. Kallis himself was finding it difficult to play the big shots, being forced to satisfy himself with singles and twos.

What was the turning point of the India-South Africa match?

Gibbs retiring hurt
Jonty Rhodes' dismissal
Sehwag's bowling
