Virender Sehwag was waging a lone battle at the other end whilst
all this was happening. Despite the fall of wickets, the
swashbuckling Indian opener let loose one audacious shot after
another to ensure that India could at least boast a vigorous run
rate. India were 84-4 in the 13th over when Sehwag too fell
following a blustery 48 off 36 balls, including eight fours.
Yuvraj Singh followed soon after as India threatened to plumb the
depths of despair.
