Accompanying Jayasuriya was the battle-hardened veteran, Aravinda
de Silva. Back in the one-day side, de Silva grabbed onto the
chance with both hands, hitting a solid unbeaten 66. More

bad balls were promptly dispatched to the fence, but even good
balls were easily worked away for singles, which made Pakistan's
job all the more difficult.
