(Bulawayo
5th ODI - 1 Jul 2001)
It was do or die for Zimbabwe as they went into their final round-robin
clash against West Indies in Bulawayo on Sunday. They desperately needed a
win to stay in the Coca-Cola Cup and preferably by a big margin. But the
situation looked extremely grim for Zimbabwe when they slipped to 27/3
after being inserted to bat. Most of the damage was the handiwork of
gangling Cameron Cuffy who removed both openers Dion Ebrahim and later
Alistair Campbell, seen here guiding a peach of a delivery to Chris Gayle
at slip. One of the most miserly bowlers in the contemporary game, Cuffy
bowled his spell of 10 overs on the trot to collect returns of 2/30.
