(Harare 1st ODI - 23 Jun 2001)
WW Hinds made a quickfire 37 off 44 balls, but it was skipper Carl Hooper
who gave the innings the momentum by hitting a massive six and a four to
score 29 runs. Hooper and Chanderpaul added 62 valuable runs for the fourth
wicket in just 9.1 overs. Chanderpaul was in an attacking mood as he
made 51 runs off just 46 balls with the help of three boundaries and a
massive six. West Indies made 266/5 in 50 overs against a Zimbabwe
side who were clearly out of sorts.
