Chaminda Vaas was the wrecker-in-chief in the early overs, sending back Shewag (0) and Sourav Ganguly (0) in quick succession. Vaas' ability to make early inroads has helped the Sri Lankans tremendously in the Coca-Cola Cup. Dilhara Fernando picked up the wickets of VVS Laxman (10) and Badani (2) and this brought Yuvraj Singh and Rahul Dravid together.
