11.1 Two/Three Day Matches - Division 1

11.1.1. Preliminary Round/Final Round League Matches

(a) The position of a Team, shall be based on the Total Number of Nett Points gained from all the scheduled matches played to that date, as per (9) and (10) determined as : (Points scored) plus (Bonus Points gained) Minus (Penalty Points) greater the No. of Nett Points gained, higher shall be the position.

(b) In the event of equality of Total Net Points in (a), the number of outright wins shall determine the position, on the basis of greater that number, higher shall be the position.

(c) In the event of equality in (b) also, the number of First Innings wins shall determine the position.

(d) Should there still be equality in (c), the position shall then be determined by the following calculation, on the basis of greater the value, higher shall be the position, considering all matches played to that date itself -
(i.e, Highest Nett Total Runs per wicket basis)

(e) It still equality prevails in (d), the position of a Team shall be decided on winning the toss of a coin, made by the respective Captains of the teams concerned, as per the appropriate arrangements made and notified by the Tournament Committee.

11. 1.2. Semi Final Matches of Super League

(a) Winners shall be the Team Winning outright.

(b) If an outright win has not been achieved, the Winner shall he the Team with a First Innings win.

(c) If a First Innings win has also not been achieved, the Winner shall be the Team, which was the winner of the Preliminary Round or the Super League match played between them will proceed to the Semi Final. (If an outright will has not been achieved at the Preliminary Round/Super League match the Winner shall be the Team with a First Innings win).

(d) If the winner has still not been determined, the team placed in higher position in the Super League points table, will proceed to the Finals

11.13 Finails
(a) Criteria specified under II. I (a) & (b) above, shall be applicable sequentially, with respect to the Finals concerned.

(b) (I) If the Winner has still not been determinedftom (a) above or

(ii) If the Finals had been completely washed-out andlor abandoned, without a ball being bowled then

The two participating teams shall be declaredjoint-Champions.

11. 1.4. DETERMINATION OF PLACINGS - DONOVAN ANDREE MATCHES
11.1.4.1 Preliminary Round
I 1. 1. 1. will be applicable
11.1.4.2Knockout Stage Matches (2 day matches)
(a) Winners shall be the Team Winning outright.

(b) If an outright win has not been achieved, the Winner shall be the Team with a First Innings win.

(c) If a first win innings has also not achieved, the Winner shall be the Team gaining higher number of Total Nett points (bonus points) in this match as per (9.1.2) above provided 100 overs have been completed in the match.

(d) If the Winner has still not been found in (c), above, the Team with the better "Average Nett Points" in all the preliminary round matches, determined as here below, shall qualify for the next round.

(e Should there still be equality in (d), the position shall then be determined by the following calculation, on the basis of greater the value, higher shall be the position (i.e, Highest Nett Runs/Wicket basis). Runs scored and wickets lost in
all Preliminary Matches will be added for this calculation.

(f) If still equality prevails, the Team qualifying for the Semi Finals, shall be decided on winning the toss of coin, made by the respective Captains of the Teams concerned, as per the appropriate arrangements made and notified by the Tournament Committee.

11.1.4.3 Finals
(a) Criteria specified under 11.1 (a) & (b) above, shall be applicable sequentially, with respect to the Finals concerned.

(b) (i) If the Winner has still not been determined from (a) above @r,

(ii) If the Finals had been completely washed-out and/or abandoned, without a ball being bowled, then,

The two participating teams, shall be declared joint-Champions.

11.2. Determination of Placings - Limited Over Matches

11.2.1. Preliminary Round Matches

In the event of teams finishing on equal points, within their respective group, the right to proceed to the Final Round will be decided as follows.

(a) The team with greater number of wins will be placed in the higher position/s

(b) When the teams have both equal wins and equal points, the team which was the winner of the Preliminary Round match(es) played between them will be placed higher in the position.

(c) If still equal, the team with the higher number of bonus points will be placed higher in the position.

(d) If still equal, the higher net run rate in the Preliminary round matches will be placed higher in the position. In a match declared "No result", run rate will not be applicable.

(e) If still equal, the team with the higher net run rate in the Preliminary Round Group matches inclusive of matches where no results have been achieved will be placed in the higher positions.

11.2.2. Ouarter Final Matches

If a quarter final is tied or there is a no result, the group winner in the Preliminary Round shall proceed to the Semi Final.

11.2.3. Semi Finals

If a semi final is tied or there is a no result, the following will apply.

(a) The team with greater number of wins in the Preliminary Round plus quarter final match shall proceed to the Semi Final.

(b) If still equal, 1 1.2. I.c will be applicable.

(c) If still equal, 11.2.1.d will be applicable and if still equal 11.2.1.e will be applicable

(d) If still equal, toss of coin will decide.

11.2.4. Finals

If the Finals had been completely washed-out and/or abandoned, without a ball being bowled, then, the two participating teams, shall be declared joint-Champions.

11.2.5 Net Run Rate

A team net run rate is calculated by deducting from the average runs per over scored by that team throughout the competition by the average runs per over scored against that team throughout the competition.

In the event of team being all out in less than its full quota of overs, the calculation of its net run rate shall be based on the full quota of overs to which it would have been entitled and not the number of overs in which the team was dismissed.

Only those matches where results are achieved will count for the purpose of net run rate.

11.3 Promotions & Relegation

Premier League Tournament

Three teams placed bottom of the Plate Championship (as per 2.4.3.) will be relegated to play in the Sara Trophy League Tournament next season

Sara Trophy League Tournament

Total of 3 teams of Sara Trophy Tournament (Three clubs placed bottom of the table in the respective groups) will be required to play a Sara Qualifying Tournament along with the Winners and the Runner-up of the Division II Provincial Tournament. This Tournament will be played on League basis (two day matches) and the three top teams will qualify for the Sara Trophy Tournament while the balance team/s will be relegated to play in the Division II next season.
