Harbhajan Singh was not played in the first match against
South Africa. It didn't take much time for the team management
to bring back their most successful bowler of recent times.
The off spinner picked up nine wickets in the six matches he
played at an average of 20.44. The notable point is that
Harbhajan Singh was given a lot of respect by his opponents
and he finished the series with an amazing economy rate of
3.53 runs per over. The young man picked up 3/27 against South
Africa at the Centurion and set up India's only win against
the Proteas in the series. Even on the bouncy tracks in South
Africa, Harbhajan Singh has enough tricks in his bag to be
effective.
