South Africa thrashed India by 46 runs at the Buffalo Park in East
London. Winning the toss and batting first South Africa made 282/4 in
50 overs, Dippenaar was the top scorer with 81. Chasing the target
India faltered after a grand opening stand of 101 runs to be bowled
out for 236 in 44.4 overs.
4th ODI: India v Kenya at Bloemfontein, 12 Oct 2001
Ajit Agarkar 4/27 and Anil Kumble 3/14 destroyed the inexperienced Kenyans to 90 all out off 37.1 overs at the Goodyear Park, Bloemfontein. Virender Shewag 55* and Deep Dasgupta 24* took India to a ten wicket victory off just 11.3 overs.
3rd ODI: South Africa v India at Centurion, 10 Oct 2001
After making 233 all out in 48.5 overs, India bundled out South Africa for just 192, winning by 41 runs. The Indians' efficient use of spin, with Man of the Match Harbhajan Singh picking 3 wickets.
2nd ODI: South Africa v Kenya at Benoni, 07 Oct 2001
Willowmoore Park in Benoni witnessed a mismatch between Kenya and the home team South Africa on Sunday. Kenya were restricted to a paltry score of 159/7 in 50 overs. The Proteas scores the required runs in just 33.4 overs.
