Rules and regulations:
  • Articles submitted must be related to the West Indies - India matches.
  • For Test matches, articles can pertain either to the entire Test's play or to play on a single day. For a Test wrap-up, the article must be submitted after the match is over. For a day's play, the article must be submitted before 11:00 a.m. the next day.
  • After each game of the West Indies - India series, articles will be accepted only for a certain period of time. Article submission for a particular match closes at 11 a.m. the next day for Tests and day ODIs, and at 2 p.m. the next day for day-night ODIs.
  • Articles may be in any form - match reviews, commentaries or analyses on one particular aspect of play, features on one player's performance on the day, or any other subject related to the one-day match in question.
  • Out of the articles submitted for each match, the best article shall be chosen and put up on CricInfo.com. The article will be edited for coherence and readability by CricInfo editorial staff.
  • In addition to articles pertaining to Test/one-day matches, columns with a wider scope of subjects may also be submitted at any other time. Depending on quality, these will also go up after suitable editing. Such columns can be commentaries on contemporary happenings in the cricket world, nostalgia pieces, player analyses or any suitably relevant subject.
  • Any number of articles may be submitted by a single entrant.
  • Articles should be e-mailed to stumped@cricinfo.com. The subject line of the e-mail should read: "The Writer in You - entry"
  • The rights of all material submitted as part of this feature automatically belong solely to CricInfo.com. No claims on the material or its rights can be made after submission.
  • Articles shall be judged on originality of material, style, coherence, and content.
  • Articles must run between 450-600 words.
