Australian openers walked in to bat for the last time in the
series with a deficit of 110 runs to climb over first. Hayden had no fear of
failure as he was in great touch. Slater was the one who would do anything to
get out of the miserable times. He has been defenceless all through the series,
with the bat as well as with his behaviour on the field. Nothing would come
to Slater's rescue aside from making his willow do all the talking. So he went
on the offensive right from the word go! He stepped out of his crease and smashed
a glorious straight six. But this has been a tour that he would like to put
behind.
