Canada Cup U-18 National Championships

Days 3 and 4, June 29, July 1st 1999


Quebec Juniors remain the only unbeaten team in Canada Cup 1999 at Sunnybrook Park in Toronto.

Congratulations to the leadership of the Quebec Cricket Federation and to Charles Pais, Arvind Patel and many others who have had the vision to promote junior cricket development.

Game 7: Manitoba v Ontario B

Manitoba won by 17 runs

Manitoba 166/6 (50 overs; M Dalloo 37, J Holz 37, P Ziesmann 37*, Gitu Hassan 3/26)

Ontario B - 149/10 (48.3 overs; Syrus Nabeel 34, R Rahaman 22, Nalinda Chandrasena 2/17, J Holz 2/19, P. Ziesmann 2/31)

Game 8: Ontario 'A' v Alberta

Ontario 'A' won by 111 runs.

Ontario 'A' 200/9 (50 overs; Trevor Ganga 55, Travis Ganga 35, Devin Persaud 24, Riaz Khan 3/29) defeated

Alberta 89 (38.3 overs; Harish Patel 21, Ajay Minhas 6/21, D. Powell 2/14.

Game 9: Quebec v British Columbia

Quebec won by 12 runs.

Quebec 65 (28.1 overs; N Raschid 11, Jay Hughes 6/22, S Upton 2/18)

British Columbia 53 (32.3 overs; Jason Sandher 21, S Syed 4/12, M Malik 2/1)

Canada Day - July 1, 1999

Game 10: Quebec v Alberta

Quebec won by 59 runs.

Quebec 126 all out (Sajid Syed 37, Vondell Edwards 24)

Alberta 67 all out (Hamid Uzman 17, Jacob Ramkelawan 11, Umer Malik 5/21, Adil Armaghan 6/26).

Ontario B defeated British Columbia by 1 wicket - yet another narrow defeat for B.C.

Full details of Manitoba vs Ontario A & all games to follow. Quebec remains unbeaten with only Ontario B to play on Friday July 2, 1999.
