- Tamil Nadu's 100 came in 161 minutes off 37.4 overs.

- Sriram takes the First days honours in the 4-Day South Zone
Ranji Trophy League Match against the Hyderabad being played
at Chepauk here in Chennai. Coming at the fall off an early
wicket of Test discard Aashish Kapoor for a nought. The
Southpaw batsman paced his innings so very well. He took time
enough to settle down in the first session, remained unbeaten
on 30 at lunch time in a stay of 140 minutes, added
- 33 to his lunch time score in 120 minutes post lunch session
and finally he launched an all out attack in the final
session to score an unconquered 112 in a stay of close to 6
hours and sending the red cherry 10 times to the fence in
facing 275 deliveries
- Sriram was well supported by Hemang Badani (52) in the
partnership for the third wicket and was followed by a
three-figure partnership for the fourth wicket
- with Madanagopal (55). The Hyderabad's apin pair of
Venkatapathi Raju and Kanwaljeet Singh bowled 49 overs
between them and conceded 115 runs without success at the end
of Day-1.
