Welcome to the CricInfo web site for the first ever Super Max Eights tournament. The newest format of cricket is the brainchild of ex-Test captains Martin Crowe and Allan Border and is being put on trial for the first time in Kuala Lumpur. Sister events have been planned for Perth in October, and Hong Kong next year.

Ten round robin matches between exponents from Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa will take place over three days. All matches are being played at the Kelab Aman ground in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and will culminate with the grand final on evening of Sunday 19 July.

CricInfo has live ball-by-ball coverage of every match throughout the three days play as well as squads information, schedule and points table, and the full rules of this brand new creation for the curious!
