India played Canada today at Ajax. Canada batting first in a rain reduced 35 overs game scored 171 for 6 with George Codrington in his first Canadian innings scoring 101 of 97 balls with 9 x 6's & 4x 4's. V Anand, another new cap scored 32.
India scored 176 for 4 wkts in 34 overs with Tendulkar 49, and Robin Singh 57* topscoring. Barry Seebaran, the Canadian born left arm leg spinner was the best the Canadian bowler with 3 for 23 in his 7 allotted overs.
The Canadian Cricket Association is extremely grateful for the opportunity offered by the Indian players, management and the BCCI. We wish them success in the main event, the Sahara Cup starting on Saturday.
