There  was  no  way back for Glamorgan once their attack had col-
lapsed under heavy fire against Worcestershire at New  Road,  Tim
Cur- tis and Gavin Haynes putting on 114 in 14 overs.

Worcestershire   scuttled   along  to 242 for three and won by 45
runs when Glamorgan, despite 47 each from Adrian  Dale  and  Gary
Butcher, were down for 197.

The  Welsh side may have felt they had done the difficult part of
their job when  Graeme  Hick  was  out,  reverse-sweeping  Robert
Croft, but Curtis,  in only his second Sunday game of the season,
made 50 from 85 balls and needed only 24 more to reach 93.
