It   was  a  day for goodies at Edgbaston, with a benefit collec-
tion of -L2,650 for Andy Moles, a county cap for David Hemp  after
his run-a-ball 46 and a fifth consecutive home  win  for Warwick-
shire.  Surrey were beaten by 48 runs.

Dominic  Ostler  (58)  and Graeme Welch, with 32  off  17  balls,
were the other significant contributors to Warwickshire`s 231 for
six.  Adam Hollioake`s  fifty  from  34 balls was the major event
in Sur- rey`s struggle to 183 for nine.
