Date-stamped : 09 Jun97 - 06:16 Northamptonshire v Nottinghamshire By Peter Deeley Northants 211-5 bt Notts 204-9 by seven runs NORTHAMPTONSHIRE celebrated their first visit to Campbell Park in Milton Keynes with their third Sunday League victory, by seven runs, thanks to John Emburey`s four wickets in five overs at the death, in a rain-affected match. Nathan Astle, Nottinghamshire`s New Zealand Test signing, marked his own baptism in this type of cricket with 75 off only 61 balls, including five sixes and three fours. He looked likely to take the visitors to success until Emburey yorked him in the off-spin- ner`s second over. Northants posted 225 for five from 30 overs, after a storm broke over the ground. On the recalculation after more rain, Notts needed 211 off 27 overs, but Emburey, finishing with four for 28 from his five overs, made sure they would not reach it. Captain Rob Bailey scored an unbeaten half-century for Northants, to go with his not-out 100 in the county game 24 hours earlier, and Tim Walton hit 42 off only 25 deliveries.
