Half-centuries from A. Priyantha (79 in 195 minutes, 6 fours) and C. Liyanage (83 in 264 minutes, 8 fours) saw Police hold SSC to a no-decision in a Sara trophy (Segment 'A') match concluded at Police Park yesterday.

Tamil Union victorious

A magnificent career best bowling performance by former Sri Lanka Test opener Chandika Hathurusingha (15 wickets for 187) saw Tamil Union trounce BRC by an innings and 17 runs in their Sara trophy (Segment 'A') match played at Havelock Park yesterday.

Hathurusingha followed his first innings seven wickets with a career best 8 for 29 to rout BRC a second time for 136.
