Ajaysinghji Daulatsinhji Jadeja has come to India's rescue time and time again with some bold and swashbuckling hitting all-round the wicket, as he demonstrated superbly during that crucial game against Zimbabwe in the triangular tournament on Sunday.
During the last year, Jadeja's late-order onslaught in instant cricket was a truly winning contribution to Indian cricket. He made substantial scores late in the order on as many as six occasions. India went on to win five of these games -- a phenomenal achievement by any yardstick. During this stint, he scored at more than a-run-a ball which helped India in the ultimate analysis.
One outstanding innings which comes to mind is his knock during the World Cup quarter-final game against Pakistan at Bangalore last year, when he despatched Waqar Younis to all parts of the ground with some breathtaking strokes.
