- During Northern Districts' 1st innings DK Morrison
accidentally struck the umpire RS Dunne while bowling and
twisted his wrist, JTC Vaughan completed the over.
- AR Tait's 63.3-21-130-16 is the best match bowling
performance in NZ First Class history, and the first time
that 16 wickets have been taken by one bowler in a First
Class match in New Zealand.
- Northern Districts 2nd innings total of 32 is their lowest
in First Class history, and the 4th lowest in New Zealand
this century.
