Date-stamped : 05 Sep94 - 06:50 NWT FINAL: WARWICKSHIRE v WORCESTERSHIRE, Lord's, 03-04 September 1994 Worcester have halted the relentless progress of Warwickshire. Going for the third of the three county prizes, they aimed to re- peat the B+H Final by beating their neighbours. It was not to be. Put in to bat first, Warks could only make 223/9. A fine attempt was made by Lara, but unfortunately the rest of the team were made to look like the fairly unexceptional individuals they seemed before this season. Worcester`s innings turned into a battle between Graeme Hick and Tom Moody to see who could produce the most spectacular boundaries. Warks could only manage to get out Damien d`Oliviera and the skipper Tim Curtis. After those breakthroughs the bowlers were pretty much demoralised. Contributed by Charlie.Williams (csw4@ukc.ac.uk)
