Date-stamped : 03 Nov93 - 05:42 NatWest Trophy Semi final SUSSEX v GLAMORGAN: Hove Viv Richards' great dream of a farewell appearance at Lord's was shattered by a majestic century from Alan Wells. The Sussex skipper hit a magnificent unbeaten 106 to guide his county into the NatWest Trophy final on September 4 after Glamor- gan had looked home and dry Sussex looked on the verge of defeat chasing a total of 220 un- til Wells and Neil Lenham guided them to victory with three wick- ets and four balls to spare. Sussex skipper Alan Wells rescued his side from an impossible looking position to book a place in the final. With 20 overs remaining Sussex looked out of contention as they slumped to 90 5 chasing Glamorgan's 220 (Matthew Maynard top scoring with 84).
