Date-stamped : 03 Mar94 - 10:24 Pakistan vs New Zealand, ODI 1, Dunedin, March 3, 1994 Opener Saeed Anwar steered Pakistan to a five wicket victory with an unbeaten 60 in a rain hit clash. Persistent morning rain re- duced the game to 30 overs a side and New Zealand were handi- capped by hold ups during their innings. They made only 122-9 but Chris Pringle and Chris Cairns gave them hope by reducing Pakistan to 35-4. Anwar was unperturbed and made his runs from just 72 balls and Rashid Latif hit a breezy 32 not out as they reached their target with almost four overs to spare.
