- At the end of the second day, silver salvers were presented to
the Langridge brothers to commemorate the first occasion that
two brothers had scored over 2,000 runs for the county in the
same year (1937). JH Parks also received a silver salver and 50
pounds in recognition of his world record in 1937 of 3,000 runs
and 100 wickets.
