Sir Donald's innings of 260 against Western Ontario at Guelph stood as
a Canadian record until the 1990 season. It was then surpassed by Don
Maxwell when he scored 280 not out for the York University Cricket
Club against the Commonwealth Cricket Club in the Toronto & District
Cricket Association competition.
It may also be noted that Sir Donald was the first batsman to score
two double centuries in a Canadian season. This record has since ben
equalled by Don Maxwell in 1990 and Garvin Budhoo in 1991.
