Glamorgan v Worcestershire at Swansea, Gloucestershire v Derbyshire at Bristol, Somerset v Lancashire at Bath, Derbyshire v Lancashire at Buxton, all abandoned without a ball being bowled.
The competition was sponsored by Schweppes Prize money: Winner: £9000 2nd: £4000 3rd: £2000 4th: £1000£150 to the winner of each match. £5 for each bonus point scored.
