Points system:15 points for a win
7.5 points to each side in a match in which scores finish level
5 points for first innings lead in a drawn match
4 point for tie on first innings in a drawn match
3 points for first innings loss in a drawn match
4 points each for no result match or match in which there is no play.
If no play possible on the first two days, the match played to one-day laws with 10 points for a win and 3 points for a loss.
Position determined by percentage of points gained to possible points.
Each team to play at least 24 matches and at most 32.
