1996 World Cup Profile:One of the world`s premier allrounders, Brian McMillan is the backbone of the South African side. He is one of South Africa`s most technically correct batsmen and many feel he is a wasted talent at No. 6, and that he should move up the order to No. 3 in Test cricket. In one-day cricket McMillan is moved around the order, batting at No. 3 or around No. 6 or 7. McMillan is also a very deceptive bowler. Although he bowls only fast-medium he gains much lift even from the least helpful pitches. For such a big man, his fielding is exceptional and he is perhaps one of the best slip fielders in the world today.help@cricinfo.com |
