The ACC Under-19 Elite Cup will be held in Malaysia during 18-29 August 2007 with teams from Hong Kong, Nepal, Malaysia, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Singapore, Afghanistan and Thailand participating. The tournament will be used as a qualifying tournament for the Under-19 World Cup 2008 to be played in Malaysia. The tournament winner (or the next qualifier if Malaysia becomes the champion) will have to play a match with the runner-up of an Under-19 tournament from the Europe Region, with the winner qualifying for the Under-19 World Cup 2008.
Only players born on or after 1st September 1987 are eligible to play in this tournament.
In preparation for the ACC Under-19 Elite Cup, the Hong Kong Under-19 team embarked on a preliminary tour to Sri Lanka.
