SINGAPORE WON BY 13 RUNS AGAINST HONG KONG
Kuala Lumpur (9th July 2005): Singapore entered the finals of Tuanku Jaafar Cup U13 defeating Hong Kong by 13 runs in the match played at Royal Military College, Sungei Besi.
Batting first Singapore scored a competitve 152 for 9 in the allotted 40 overs. Skipper Timothy Rushil Singham made a brilliant 56 for Singapore. Sagar Chandra chipped in with 2 wickets for Hong Kong.
Hong Kong were short by 13 runs when they completed the quota of 40 overs. Only skipper Mark Chapman (22) and Shivam Mukesh Hemmani (17) scored for Hong Kong.
Timothy Rushil Singam was declared Man of the Match.
Hong Kong will meet Thailand for the 3rd and 4th placing at Royal Military College, Sungei Besi at 10:00 am. |
