PLAYING
CONDITIONS
The Playing Conditions
for the Standard Bank Pro20 Series is as per domestic 45 overs cricket, with
the exception of the following:
Match Regulations:
a. A free hit
for a "front foot" no-ball
b. No-ball penalised by 2 runs
c. 7-over fielding restrictions
d. A minimum of 5 bowlers, bowling 4 overs each
e. A minimum of 7 overs per side constitutes a match
f. Points deducted from log for slow over rate of 1 point per over not completed
The Log:
a. The points
system for the log is the same as 45 overs domestic cricket
Semi-Finals
and Final:
a. A "no-result"
semi-final will be determined by past performance in the preliminary round
b. A tied semi-final will be determined by performance based criteria from that
match. These criteria will be confirmed at a later date
c. A "no-result" final will result in the trophy being shared
d. A tied final will be determined by performance based criteria from that match.

Playing Times:
a. Day matches
begin at 2.30pm and day/ night matches at 5.30pm (Sun 25 April at SuperSport
Park - match begins at 12 noon)
b. The lunch/ dinner break is 20 minutes
Day matches:
1st Innings: 2.30pm - 3.50pm
2nd Innings: 4.10pm - 5.30pm
Day/night matches:
1st Innings: 5.30pm - 6.50pm
2nd Innings: 7.10pm - 8.30pm
