Rules and Regulations

The Matches will be of one day duration and will be played on 45 overs basis.

1.HOURS OF PLAY:

9.30 a.m to 12.30 p.m First Session
12.30 p.m to 1.15 p.m Lunch Session
1.15 p.m to 4.15 p.m Second Session


  1. In the league stage if the contestinf team score the same number of runs, the points shall be shared equally. In the semi finals & finals if the contesting teams score the same numbers of runs, the team which loses the lesser number of wickets, shall be declared the winner. If both the teams lose the same number of wickets, the winner shall be decided by the spin of a coin.
  2. If a match is stopped due to bad weather or any other reason, and the team batting second has already played a minimum of 15 overs, the team which has better run rate shall be declared the winner.
  3. The run rate shall be calculated by dividing the total number of runs scored by the number of stipulated overs.
  4. In the event of a team batting first being all out in less than their full quota of overs, the calculation of their run rate shall be based on the full quota of overs to which they would have been entitiled and not the number of overs in which they were dismissed. In the case of a team batting second, the actual number of completed overs will be taken for calculation porpose, if they have not lost all their wickets.
  5. If a match is stopped due to bad weather or bad light, and in case the team batting second has not completed 15 overs, the winner shall be decided by spin of a coin. In the league stage the points will be shared equally.
  6. In the event of non commencement of a match due to bad weather or any other reasons in the league phase the match will be decided as no result and the points will be shared equally. How ever in the Semi Finals and Finals the winners will be decided by the spin of the coin.
  7. In case of delayed start or any interruption during the 1st innings of a match, the Umpires can order the number of overs to be reduced. An over shall be reduced for every four minutes lost from the stipulated number of overs of an innings.
  8. If more than one team has equal points in the league stage, yhen the Semi Finalist will be decided as follows. If two teams have equal points
  9. The team with greater number of wins will go to the semifinal.
  10. If the match between them is abandoned, then the team with better run rate in all the remaining matches will qualify for the Semi Final.
  11. If more than two teams are equal points
  12. The team with greater number of wins go to the Semi Final.
  13. The team should report at the ground at least 30 minutes before the start of the match
  14. Captain of the team, Should give in writing the names of the playing XI before the toss. The 12th man also should be named
  15. There shall be 45 minutes break and for drinks in a match. There will not be any tea break, unless otherwise decide by the umpires.
  16. A Player who suffers an injury caused by an external blow (as opposed to an internal injury such as a pulled muscle) and has to leave the field for medical attention, may, subject to the umpires, approval, bowl immediately after his return, irrespective of the length of time for which he has been absent.
  17. Except for the rules specified above The laws of conduct 1980 code shall apply.
  18. Points: Win 2 points, Tie & No Result 1 Point

Umpires are instructed to apply a very strict and consistent interpretation in regard to the law in order to prevent negative bowling wide of the wicket or over the batsman's shoulder. The following should be adopted as a guide to umpires

  1. If the ball passes above the shoulder height of the striker standing upright at the crease, either umpire shall call and signal no ball
  2. Any off side or leg side delivery which in the opinion of the umpire does not give the batsman a reasonable opportunity to score shall be called a wide. As a guide, on the leg side a ball landing clearly outside the leg stump going further away shall be called wide
  3. A fast high full pitched ball shall be defined as a ball that passes or would have passed, on the full waist height of a batsman standing upright at the crease, should a Bowl a fast high pitched ball, either Umpire shall calland signal No Ball.
