Indika de Saram guides SL 'A'Cheltenham, Tuesday - Indika de Saram slammed a superb 75 off 86 balls with ten fours to guide Sri Lanka 'A' to a five-wicket win over Gloucestershire in their one-day fifty overs tour match played here yesterday. The county deciding to bat first on winning the toss were restricted to a total of 189 for 9 off 50 overs by Sri Lanka 'A' fast-medium bowlers Indika Gallage, Mario Villavarayen and Hemanth Boteju, who took seven wickets amongst them. D.R. Hewson made a top score of 64 off 89 balls (7 forus) for the county, who recovered from being 88 for 7 at one stage through an eighth wicket stand of 68 between Hewson and M.J.C. Ball (51 off 70 balls). Sri Lanka 'A' also lost early wickets in their run chase and at one stage were 92 for 4 before De Saram and Chamara Silva pulled the side out with a fifth wicket stand of 72. De Saram was dismissed when 26 were needed for victory. But Silva who made an unbeaten 38 off 57 balls and Nimesh Perera (14 with one six, one four) steered the tourists home with seven overs to spare.
