Pakistan Squad
Wasim Akram was a late addition after his suspension was lifted by the Chairman, Pakistan Cricket Board. He replaced Shabbir Ahmed who was originally selected. Wasim Akram was appointed captain replacing Moin Khan, appointed vice-captain instead of Saqlain Mushtaq. On 16 Sept 1999 Shoaib Akhtar withdrew due to a shoulder problem and was replaced by Shabbir Ahmed.
