Kent Cricket Board v Hampshire, NatWest Trophy The Electronic Telegraph - 23 June 1999 Openers Jason Laney and Derek Kenway put on 97 to set Hampshire on the way to a comfortable 130-run victory over a Kent Board XI at Canterbury. Set 263 to win, the Kent part-timers were never in the hunt and were all out for 132 with nine overs remaining. In Dublin, dropped catches helped Leicestershire to a 136-run win over Ireland. Darren Maddy, missed on nine and again 20 runs later, went on to score 89 off 99 balls, and Paul Nixon reached his first NatWest fifty after giving a simple chance on 23. Their partnership of 84 in just 10 overs and a total of 287 put the game out of sight for Ireland.
