Northamptonshire v Middlesex, National League Second Division, Round 6 The Electronic Telegraph - 6 June 1999 Devon Malcolm helped Northamptonshire to victory by 38 runs, again under Duckworth/Lewis rules, against Middlesex. Malcolm uprooted Middlesex's top three as they chased a victory target reduced to 160 in 26 overs. Only Owais Shah, with 37 from 30 balls, escaped the yoke of tight Northants bowling and when Tony Penberthy struck three times in one over, Middlesex plunged from 94 for four to 121 all out in 22.1 overs. Northants' 201 for nine in 38 overs was built around Russell Warren's 61.
