POWELL POWERS WEST INDIES TO TITLE AGAINST INDIA IN FINAL GAME
SINGAPORE, Sept 8 (AFP) - West Indies' Ricardo Powell stamped his class on the replayed final of the Singapore International Challenge cricket tournament here Wednesday, blasting a dazzling innings to hand his team a four-wicket win over India.
Powell smashed 124 off a mere 93 balls as the West Indies romped to victory at the Kallang ground here.

West Indies won the toss the second time around at the Kallang. On the
reserve day of the final of the Coca Cola Singapore Challenge , the
West Indies captain Brian Lara put India in to bat. Courtney Walsh,
who dismissed Tendulkar the previous day did the job once more for his
captain.
