Once Ibrahim Khalil and Deepak Chowgule lost their wickets for 36 and 35 runs respectively, their middle and lower-order batsmen crumbled. Omkar Khanwilkar made their innings totter. He returned an impressive bowling analysis of 8-1-26-4. Udai Karavadra and Rohan Dharwat took two wickets each.

West Zone achieved the victory target in just 155 minutes (36.3 overs) for the loss of 6 wickets, to win the match by 4 wickets. This match had no effect on the final standings of the tournament as Central Zone had already lifted the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
