North Zone defeated East Zone by 55 runs. Put in to bat first, North Zone piled up a sound 303 for 9 in its 40 overs. This match was of academic interest as Central Zone had already cliched the title.

The runs were scored at a brisk pace. It took just 150 minutes to reach the total. Deepak Joon scored 34 to emerge as the highest scorer before being run out. Debasish Mandal, through proving cost, managed to take three North Zone wickets.

In its allotted number of overs, East Zone could only score 148 for 8 wickets. Javed Ali scored 36 not out and Sandeep Vig contributed 33. Ashwani Kumar took 4 for 25.
