After losing the toss, North Zone batted first. They performed badly and managed to score just 87 runs. Skipper Hari Kishan scored 25 to emerge the top scorer. Medium pacer Ankush Singh bagged 4 wickets for 38 runs. The entire innings lasted just 134 minutes.

Central Zone successfully chased the victory target in 22.2 overs at the expense of Sachin Dholpure's wicket who was caught by Chandan Madan off the bowling of Deepak Joon for 28. Sunil Tomar remained not out on 52, scored with the help of eight boundaries. He batted for 84 minutes and helped Central Zone to register an authoritative victory over their rivals by 9 wickets.
